BRAVE & STINKER 3 COMPLETE ENGLISH TRANSLATION
I really didn't think it would take this long! I really, really didn't. Somehow I got more translating done at school than I did at home over the break.

But, a month late, here is is!

*****************************************************
* http://www.mediafire.com/downloa.../Brave_&_Stinker_3.7z *
*****************************************************

Goddamn did those last few fights drag on and on. Many thanks to you guys for being with me throughout this project. Without your encouragement I probably would've given up around the point where I was rewriting (or more often Copying+Pasting) six special attack scripts per battle. Special thanks to JustAQuinn for inspiring me to do this in the first place and for acting as a translator-in-arms at times.

If you find any problems, please let me know so I can upload a fixed version.

If I have any regrets, it's that I didn't take a looser hand with translating things. I learned way too late that I should be translating per text box, not per sentence, and I had a weird aversion to using swear words and vulgar language. You can only say "eww farts" so many times before you start breaking out the thesaurus, you know? I also regret not fixing the title. It's actually Brave & Stinker 4, you know? But it's much too late for that.

What's next for me? College, mostly. Skunk Pro Wrestling is already being worked on by someone with a much better sense of style than I, but when the creator's next game comes out I'd love to take a crack at it. (You can see it on his blog; It looks to not be primarily fart-focused but he promises some content.)

Oh, and if you guys need any help figuring out where to go, I can provide. I had to root through the code to find out what to do sometimes for the bonus bosses.

I first want to congratulate you on a job well done. You have improved the lives of fart lovers everywhere.

Second, could you please leave some instruction on how to run the game from scratch. I'm having a hard time finding such directions. Thanks.

If you get an error on startup, you may need the Japanese RPG Maker RTP. Find it here (you want RPGツクール2000, in the RTP column):
http://tkool.jp/support/download/index

As always, try setting your system locale (not language, locale) to Japanese before installing the RTP and playing the game. Use AppLocale if necessary.

WOOOOO!!!
Based SuperDude has come through for us once Again!!! You had me worried for a sec because of how long it took after New Years but I understand School comes 1st. I can't wait to Start the Gameover from Scratch and see how Rewarding you're Hardwork is!! I don't think you should worry to much if the Dialogue faulters after Post-game because the Main threat would've been eradicated making everything else minimal Priority; but You're work doesn't go Unappreciated THX Again!!!!

P.S Hopefully (but not likely) you can get some Gameplay Footage of the game because I would really like to Archive this Fantastic Game (for Personal reasons *Wink* *Wink*)

He's calling it a "ネバネバ game: A "sticky" game, and there are many screenshots of girls stuck in webs, or goo, or having been swallowed whole. Luckily I'm also a fan of that. But in another blog post he says this:

"There are traces of onara elements in the game...

Sometimes I am overwhelmed by the desire to add onara scenes to the game.
But I like sticky elements just as much as I like onara...
That desire is always resting just under the surface.

But I must first give priority to this game!"

When I try to install RTP2000, I get the error "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect." A quick Google search provides the suggestions of running it in Japanese locale, but I'm already in Japanese locale.

When does that message come up, exactly? The files should be going into C:\Program Files (x86)\ASCII\RPG2000\RTP.

Let me thank you for all of your hard work on this and I believe you did unbelievably well on it! I have beaten the game now but I was left with some questions.

After you beat the queen, the music distorts and starts to play in a really weird tone, is this supposed to happen? And if so, why?

What are all of the optional bosses out there and how do you reach them? If it is too long to list out, I don't mind being given in chunks if that makes things easier.

Re: The weird music, I think it has something to do with how RPG Maker 2000 handles midis. It happens to me sometimes too, but I can't recreate it in the editor.

You should wait until you reach the point of no return, i.e. just before going into Kelp's room, before going after optional bosses. At some point you get the ability to change party members on the 2nd floor of Canary's house. Pick a different party and go to the Informant guy in Blaze (that's right, he hasn't had anything to say for the whole game but now he does) and he'll tell you where some guys are.

Don't forget: The signboard on the Ilya docks will take you to the arena, and using Canary's Hule move (whatever the hell that means) to travel to Aya's Mansion for more fights.

Sometimes frames and text would skip or slow down when I'm moving or going through dialogue but I think it was because a lot was running in the Background.

My game does that whenever I am in fullscreen mode. Take it out of fullscreen mode and see if that fixes it, it did with mine and thank you Superdude! I will check them out :)
